Launched in 2010, the production of the first LFA lasted only two years and left fans longing for more. Now, Lexus has released images of a concept for the revival of the LFA.
Despite LFA enthusiasts’ expectations for an extremely powerful combustion engine, Lexus revealed that the concept for the new LFA is fully electric.

“The LFA name is not limited to vehicles powered by internal combustion engines. It symbolizes a vehicle that incorporates technologies which our engineers must preserve and pass on to the next generation,” the company explained.

Among the highlights, it is noted that the LFA concept is built around a new lightweight, high-rigidity aluminum chassis, the same one that also debuted today on the Toyota GR GT and the GT3 race car.

Visually, the new LFA looks almost identical to the Sport Concept presented earlier this year in Monterey, with only a few tweaks here and there to make it more production-ready. Therefore, the final model is expected to stay very close to this design.

On the outside, it is slightly larger than its predecessor, both in length and width. Inside, the cabin features an aggressive dashboard design that wraps around the driver. Instead of a central infotainment screen, there is a set of displays replacing the tactile instrument panel.

More information about the car is expected to be released when the model enters production, including details on the battery, range, and everything related to its electric powertrain.
